Throughout our whole journey with Care, we’ve felt so looked after and genuinely cared about. It took us a long time to get where we are today but we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the staff at Care Manchester.

Personally had no issues at all with the clinc the process has been seamless and I've been kept informed at every step. Clinic staff are always lovely and friendly. As we're NHS funded I'm unsure of the costs and cancellation policies

The paperwork side of things were slow between having an initial assessment and starting treatment, however following this everything was brilliant.

Overall Feedback
I would wholeheartedly recommend Care Manchester. Both our children were conceived there and we are so grateful to all the staff there. It was one of the worst times of our life and I feel we were looked after very well. In total we had 4 fresh cycles (1 at another clinic) and transferred 6 embryos (1 at another clinic). I think their labs are a big reason why we have our boys. Their labs are excellent. I don’t think they’re brilliant with patients dealing with male factor infertility (like we were). We got lucky on our first cycle but went to see a urologist in London (Ramsey) to have a microtese (something they didn’t offer at Care). The cycle at the London clinic failed but we had the sperm shipped up so we could do further cycles closer to home. I think their monitoring for IVF cycles is brilliant. Although I did develop OHSS on my first cycle and was unwell for 2-3 months whilst pregnant. I bought my medications from an online pharmacy, saving hundreds, perhaps thousands overall. You have to pay a prescription release fee. Last year they reduced the threshold for paying this which angered me. You do feel like a cash cow at times. Overall, we were very happy with our treatment there. They made it as easy as it could be.

Can't fault them. All staff from admin team, midwives, embryologists, nurses and doctors all amazing. Felt really at ease and they handled my medical fears exceptionally well, discussing options, giving me time and listening. Made my experience a very pleasant one. Really felt like they cared about me and my husband. Highly recommended, thank you.

Overall Feedback
Despite getting the result I wanted at this clinic I did feel incredibly let down after my first cycle as there were notes on my records that indicated that there was difficulty during egg collection, this was not considered and as a result I had an extremely poor result for my first cycle which did not end up in a pregnancy, I felt that if the risks were considered this would not have happened and I was extremely upset about it. It still upsets me to the day as I felt this delayed the whole process indefinitely and as a result cost ever more money on drugs for the next cycle. I felt this was not heard as I had taken a multi cycle treatment plan and to them the costs were covered but the drugs are extremely expensive and you do not get warned about the prices of drugs at each stage which would have been helpful when financially planning especially as we were self funding

I got my treatment for free on the NHS but I wish that they would have offered me additional extras that I could pay for (for example the specialist treatment where they monitor the embryos on camera and you can keep a copy of the video). I would have been happy to pay the difference but it was ever offered. Also, they only went off the test results that I had done in the clinic, ignoring partner's past sperm results at the GP clinic (they never asked). I feel if they had known this info, we would have been offered ICSI and would have had a better result.

Despite the difficulty and trauma involved with fertility treatments, I always felt like the clinic was a safe space and a place where I felt listened to and looked after. All staff were kind and dealt sensitively with what is a very difficult time in someone’s life.

I would love to know why care fertility is £15.000 for a donor egg. Where has this cost come from. Any other country its around £6-£7K. Its an absolute joke to charge that amount of money

Overall Feedback
We used care as our second clinic. We found one missing element was an app to remind you of appointments, to take meds and to communicate with staff on. Our previous clinic had used Salve and that had been excellent. It was also a lot harder to speak directly to the doc at Care than at our last clinic. Make sure you know the priorities you have for a clinic before picking one. For us, we moved to care due to the short wait time for donor eggs.
