The nursing staff were all amazing. Although the processes and communication were sometimes slow, I cannot fault the staff. And I was lucky enough to fall pregnant on my first round of treatment.

Our clinic changed hands during our treatment and it has improved greatly since. If we were still being treated by the initial team we likely would have left clinics and would not recommend. However, the level of service we have received since has been exceptional, and we cannot fault this later half at all.
One thing I would like to see improved is firstly, test results being available on the portal. And secondly, I urge others to always phone the clinic and do not wait for them to get on touch.

Overall the experience was good and ultimately resulted in a pregnancy after just two rounds which is amazing. My Drs consultation was good but didn’t get a clear idea of what the treatment steps actually were. But a clearer pathway on what happens when, better communication on next steps etc would have made all the difference. My first appointment was awful, I was new to cycle tracking, counting etc and the nurse looked at me as if I was stupid not knowing my regular cycle length etc. if the first appointment explained a little to those all new to trying to conceive it would have been much better. When choosing the clinic they called me non stop to chase if I wanted to go ahead, but once I was a patient it was always left to me to get in touch to make arrangements and no clear pathway given for the treatment ahead. For example I did an IUI and a simple document detailing the journey and options along the way ie medicated, unmedicated etc would have helped so much. I also paid for way too much medication and had an additional monitoring cycle without realising this would add £700 to treatment costs. Monitoring is actually included in a treatment cycle so why I had to pay for that and delay treatment for a month felt like a bit of a con. Also got a number of incorrect invoices which took a while to sort. I asked for counselling (as you got one session after each treatment) but got ignored. Never got given details of who to contact when. In scan appointments answers to most questions were - we will speak to the consultant - which was frustrating at times. Also often felt IVF patients got way more attention than IUI especially when in for actual treatments. Understandable due to IUI being a simple treatment but egg collection and transfers are an operation, but you really felt second class compared to the way IVF patients were looked after pre and post treatment.

Just get a transparent treatment plan including all costs before starting treatment. My treatment plan ended up costing alot more than what I was lead to believe. I didn't realise there would be additional costs eg. tests

I'm currently receiving treatment at another clinic due to our location, however I would certainly use Leeds Fertility again if this was an option. I felt that the nurses really cared and listened to us and our treatment plan was tailored to us and our medical needs, we weren't just 'another patient' and everyone given the same generic treatment plan regardless of their individual needs.
